26.LU Marathon

26.2 is the number of miles run to complete a marathon. 26.LU is a marathon of meters (42,195 meters to be exact) in support of camp LUcy, a new initiative of the GPRF that honors Lucy Pocock, a pioneer in women’s rowing.

Would you like to help us support the future of Camp Lucy?

To kick off the week of National Girls and Women in Sports Day, we’re hosting our first inaugural indoor rowing marathon; 26 point LU.

The event will take place virtually through a live stream so that you can participate from anywhere!! We will have a zoom link for all to participate.

Our goal is to raise $10,000 through participation in the event and fundraising from teams.

In teams of 2, 3, 4 or open (4+) we will row 42,195 meters on the erg (indoor rowing machine). Registration for the event includes a training plan (if you want it), a GPRF beanie*, and a medal*.

And for rowing affiliate clubs and teams, we have some exciting prizes to award:
1) Fastest time for 42,195
2) Most marathons rowed (by affiliate)
3) Most funds raised through this event (by affiliate)

Let’s do this! Sunday, January 30th, 2022 from 8 am to 1 pm (Pacific Time).

Team Captains: If you would like your team to be entered to compete in a category, please add additional information here.

*Register by December 31st to ensure receipt
