3. Many things have been accomplished to make rowing spaces more inclusive but we are not yet where we want to be.

"It's always been a dream of mine, when I first started I knew I had a long way to go," Nicacio said. "I still have much to improve on but am grateful for the opportunity and chance to perform at a higher competitive level. After a meticulous grant application process, and a thorough analysis of all candidates who applied for an Erg Ed grant this year, we are pleased to announce new partnerships with the Cherokee County School District and Allatoona Rowing Association in Cherokee County, GA and School District 65 and North Channel Community Rowing in Evanston, IL. These awardees' community programs are creating more access to and forging a viable path for young people to experience the life-changing sport of rowing!
