THE ANNUAL ROW TO THE FUTURE BENEFIT
The Row to the Future in-person event has been cancelled, but the fundraising efforts continue! To read our full statement on the cancellation of the in-person event, click here.
While we are stuck at home and missing our boathouses and our teams, one thing is coming into focus: we love rowing. The joy of being on the water, working hard alongside some of your most trusted and admirable friends, and feeling the thrill of the boat picking up more speed stroke after stroke after stroke is hard to deny.
While the future of our rowing season may be hanging in midair, the future of rowing is not. As soon as we can safely do so, we will be back down at the boathouse, carrying our boats down to the docks, and pushing ourselves off into the glorious sanctuary of our beautiful lakes, rivers, bays, and estuaries.
As we isolate from our teams and coaches, many of us are realizing the true impact rowing has had on our lives: trusted routine, relief from stresses, fitness, community, time with nature, and just plain joy! How could you NOT want every person to be able to experience such happiness on the water?
Our virtual fundraiser is LIVE NOW and we need your support to make sure that when our boathouse doors reopen, they are open to every kid that wants to row.
We have a goal of raising $200,000 dollars for this year's Row to the Future programs (including Erg Ed, comprehensive need-based scholarship support, and youth outreach), and if we meet our goal, we have a matching offer of up to $200,000 from the Schlaepfer Family Foundation.
Will you help us meet our goal and DOUBLE the funds we raise?
ABOUT THE EVENT
With over 22,000 youth participating annually, Row to the Future is one of the George Pocock Rowing Foundation’s greatest youth development initiatives. The GPRF is partnered with multiple boathouses and public school districts in the Pacific Northwest with one goal in mind: helping more youth find, start, and stay rowing, regardless of circumstance. The Row to the Future Benefit Fundraiser is the largest annual fundraising event for the GPRF's comprehensive need-based scholarship and community engagement programming. Your support helps get more kids on the water.
