Northwest FISA Course
The GPRF is working to bring a FISA regulation rowing course to the Northwest – an Olympic class, 2000 meter competitive venue and a high-performance training center. Collaborating with economic development and public sector organizations, the GPRF is researching every lake in Western Washington to find the perfect venue and conducting feasibility studies on capital, operating costs, attendance and revenue potential at each site.
A 2000 meter course in the Northwest region could attract major events such as the Pac 10′s, NCAA’s, Junior Nationals, and the USRowing Nationals and Trials. Additionally, the venue will provide economic opportunity and development for the state of Washington.
